During a press conference aboard Air Force One, President Donald Trump stated that US oil companies will start drilling in Venezuela “very soon”.
Trump framed the plan as a financial win for both nations, saying, “It’s going to make the United States a lot of money, and it’s also going to make Venezuela a lot of money.”
He also confirmed he had spoken with Venezuelan opposition leader Maria Corina Machado, describing Venezuela’s leadership as “strong” and adding, “I like her a lot.”
