United States President Donald Trump flags a potential tariff hike on India in response to its continued oil trade with Russia.
Sky News contributor Kosha Gada says the move serves multiple purposes but risks backlash from Trump’s base, wary of deeper US involvement in the Russia-Ukraine conflict.

“This one is a little bit controversial, where he is paying a price with his base that does not want the us to interfere much more in the Ukraine–Russia saga.”
