Turkish Military Plane Crashes In Georgia: 20 Soldiers Killed After Takeoff From Azerbaijan |Erdogan

A Turkish C-130 military cargo plane crashed near the Georgia-Azerbaijan border, killing all 20 personnel on board. The aircraft had taken off from Ganja, Azerbaijan, en route back to Turkey when it went down in Sighnaghi Municipality. Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan expressed deep sorrow, while Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev extended condolences. Georgian authorities located the wreckage and coordinated search and rescue operations with Turkish and Azerbaijani teams. The crash is under investigation to determine its cause. The C-130, a four-engine turboprop airlifter, has long served Turkey’s military for troop and logistics transport, making this a devastating loss.
