Leaders from nations including Australia, Solomon Islands, Vanuatu and Mauritius have made a flying visit to Tuvalu, for a first-hand look at the reality of climate change in one of the world’s lowest-lying countries.
The tiny island nation has called out the financial inequity of an issue it did little to cause, appealing to others to talk less and act more.
The visit comes on the sidelines of the Pacific pre-COP summit ahead of COP31 in Türkiye next month.
