Russia has launched a massive overnight aerial assault on Ukraine, targeting nine cities with missiles and drones as the war enters another intense phase. Explosions were reported across Kyiv, with Ukrainian officials saying civilian areas, residential buildings, a school and a medical facility were damaged. At least two people were reported killed and more than a dozen wounded across several regions. Odesa was also hit in a barrage that lasted more than seven hours, damaging a high-rise residential building and educational facilities.
