Undocumented Children: The generation slipping through Australia’s visa cracks

There is a growing number of new residents in regional Australia who are completely undocumented because they’re born to disengaged migrant workers.

There are more than 7,000 workers who have disengaged from the Federal Government’s Pacific Australia Labour Mobility scheme and who stayed working here either unlawfully or on bridging visas.

Part two of this SBS special series explores calls for the scheme to be urgently reviewed with female workers facing not only exploitation but also hard choices.
