‘Unforgiveable’: Coalition’s internal ‘war’ distracting from Australian national interests

Former Labor adviser Bruce Hawker has criticised the Coalition’s “self-inflicted” damage, saying Opposition Leader Sussan Ley wasted the opportunity to show some leadership with the prime minister under the spotlight.

“They managed to completely look like they were at war with themselves, as they are, and were not acting in the Australian national interests,” Mr Hawker told Sky News Australia.

“That is unforgiveable.”
