The White House says Chinese President Xi Jinping and US President Donald Trump agreed that Iran must never obtain a nuclear weapon.
Both leaders also agreed the Strait of Hormuz must remain open, while Xi reiterated China’s opposition to any militarisation of the strategic waterway.
Xi Jinping also signalled Beijing could look to purchase more American oil in the future.
