The United States has approved possible military support sales worth more than 428 million dollars for India’s Apache attack helicopters and M777A2 ultra-light howitzers. The proposed packages include engineering, logistics, training and sustainment support for India’s defence platforms. Washington says the move will strengthen India’s defence preparedness and deepen strategic ties between the two countries. India currently operates AH-64E Apache helicopters and M777A2 howitzers across sensitive and high-altitude sectors. The approvals come amid growing India-US defence cooperation, joint military exercises and expanding strategic partnerships across the Indo-Pacific region.
