Venezuela’s interim president Delcy Rodríguez has signed an agreement with major US electricity provider GE Vernova.
Rodríguez was a fierce critic of the US when she was deputy to now-deposed leader Nicolas Maduro, but this is the latest sign of thawing relations between the two countries.
Power supply has been a long-standing issue for the South American nation.
Analysts say the deal represents a further dismantling of the socialist model of government.
