At least 32,000 education workers have walked off the job in Victoria according to the education union, marching on the state parliament over a pay dispute.
They’re calling for a 35 per cent pay rise over four years, arguing Victorian teachers are paid far less than those in other states.
It’s the first time in 13 years the state’s teachers, principals and support staff have staged a 24-hour stoppage, severely disrupting lessons in hundreds of schools.
