French university students march in Paris demanding increased public funding for education and better learning conditions.
The demonstrations come amid wider student protests over teacher shortages, deteriorating school facilities, overcrowded classrooms and concerns about access to higher education. Student groups are calling for stronger government investment and reforms to address inequalities in the education system.
The march adds to pressure on France’s government as students continue to question whether its proposed measures go far enough.
