Subscribe and turn on notifications🔔 : https://buff.ly/3F6ZiLt | In the premiere of Wednesday Season 2, fans were treated to a stop-motion animation that resembled director Tim Burton’s much-loved early work, and it’s now been revealed that the 90-second sequence took eight months to finish.
Burton told The Hollywood Reporter that “This is the kind of show where we get to play around with things, and that was special to me. In fact, [we] kind of went old school with it and I ended up designing the puppet.”
He jokingly added that while working on the flashback sequence, “I kept having to tell the animators, ‘No, it’s looking too good. No, the animation’s too slick. We need to pretend like I’m back in my student days and do it like I did in the beginning [of my career]’.”
The hand-built sets and puppets were even created with the help of the same company that collaborated with Burton on Corpse Bride.
