What you should be watching on TV: 1995’s Hackers
Back when the internet was new and full of promise, Hackers celebrated the ballooning cyber culture.
It’s trippy, loud, and drenched in 90s cyberpunk style. Orbital, The Prodigy and Underworld are on the soundtrack, as well as a cast that defines cool.
Inspired by The Hacker Manifesto, it’s a story of misfits, freedom, and tech optimism, a time capsule of what the web could’ve been.
It’s not subtle, but it is definitely worth a watch.
