Fans of the books will know that Off Campus follows a Bridgerton-style format, meaning each season is centered on a different couple. So at the moment, Josh’s character is not expected to appear in future seasons.
However, the 29-year-old thinks a return could be on the cards, given his character does pop back up in the novels the series is based on.
Speaking to 2DAYFM Breakfast with Nath and Emma, Josh said, “Well, he comes back in another book. He finds another, I think, his new love interest’s name is Stella. So that could potentially be a storyline, but I just want Justin to find love, you know.”
The show’s creator, Louisa Levy, confirmed to TV Guide that Josh’s character will not be returning for season two, adding, “Not next season, but I love Josh, and I would not write him off if I can find a way to bring Justin back at some point. We never got a chance to meet Stella… so maybe we’ll find a way to fold him into a future season.”
