The National party announced last week it would be ditching net zero as a party position, which put the party at odds with the Coalition’s previous agreement to support the policy.
The move has put pressure on Opposition leader Sussan Ley to formalise her party’s policy and could spell trouble for the on-again-off-again partnership.
