Quantum physicist Carlo Rovelli explores the notion that fundamental physics and an understanding of the human soul are incompatible ideas. Despite being a monist, Rovelli believes a soul exists on both an atomic level and as an understanding of oneself. “I don’t think that one description is a good one, and the other is a bad one”, says Rovelli.
