Government’s fuel excise cut ‘already being passed on to the consumers’

Sky News Political Editor Andrew Clennell discusses the fuel excise which the federal government has halved for three months due to the ongoing war in Iran.

“(The fuel excise cut) has already been passed on to the consumers. Latest figures show for some bizarre reason petrol has gone up … 22 cents a litre in Queensland,” he said.

“But in every other state since the excise cut, there have been reductions … in petrol and diesel price, including a 23 cent reduction in petrol in Victoria, showing the cut has already been passed on.”
