The airline posted a clip in late February urging Mel’s on-screen husband Luke to ditch her and get on a plane.
In response to the video, Mel told the company, “You kind of had one job, cheap flights, not cheap shots, and I kind of didn’t realise you guys condone bullying.”
“I was on a reality TV show. You’re a corporate brand. Maybe you should act like it.”
Mel explained that there is a difference between “humour” and “targeting someone”, and she felt like the airline’s post “missed” the mark.
“Maybe rethink your content strategy and do better.”
