Prime Minister Anthony Albanese addressed the “extraordinary comments” made by the Leader of the Liberal Party surrounding the new emissions target agreement.
On September 18, the Labor Party accepted the Climate Change Authority’s advice to cut emissions by 62 to 70 per cent by 2035.
“The leader of the Liberal Party walked away from setting any targets.” Mr Albanese stated.
“In order to achieve that target, we’ll see between $400 and $500 billion of private sector investment.”
