For more than 100 years, Vegemite has been a staple in Australian pantries, but now shoppers can get their hands on a “milder” version: Vegemite Kids.
The new recipe contains 50% less salt and has a smoother texture so it’s easier to spread.
But when details of the new flavour were first revealed, plenty of Aussies were torn—while some welcomed the milder flavour, others believed that the iconic recipe shouldn’t be touched.
