Australia and Indonesia will confront regional challenges together following the signing of a major security treaty.
It commits both nations to consult one another on security threats in the Indo-Pacific as they arise individually and as partners.
Prime Minister Anthony Albanese said the treaty signals “recognition” that the best way to secure peace and stability in the region is by “acting together”.
