Bali tourist’s embarrassing tattoo typo sparks warning to Aussies | #yahooaustralia

Although the man wanted the phrase, “In times of peace, prepare for war”, he walked away from an eight-hour tattoo session in Indonesia with the typo “piece” emblazoned on his chest.

The Balinese studio has since confirmed to Yahoo Lifestyle that the design has been corrected.

Award-winning Queensland tattoo artist Khail Aitken that the mistake should serve as a serious reminder to other Australian tourists wanting to get tattoos overseas, especially when the design they want is not in the artist’s native tongue.

“The client should have double-checked his stencil, being in a country that doesn’t typically speak English.”

“With that being said, it’s the artist’s job to produce the right design for his client.”
