University of Canberra’s Vice-Chancellor Bill Shorten discusses his proposal of a new tax to help fund Australian universities.
“The question is, if we are going to charge people based on the benefit they get from something,” Mr Shorten told Sky News host Andrew Bolt.
“Business gets a benefit too from having educated graduates.
“We can’t keep telling our millennials and our Gen-Z’s, too bad, so sad, you’ve just got to pay for everything because the boomers wouldn’t.”
