Thousands of Albanians have taken to the streets in the country’s capital, Tirana, for over three weeks.
The protest erupted following a proposal for a luxury resort by US President Donald Trump’s son-in-law, Jared Kushner.
A billion-dollar resort is planned to be built on an island off Albania in the Adriatic Sea, which is a wetland home to flamingos, seals, and sea turtle nesting sites.
Albanians are demanding the resignation of Prime Minister Edi Rama, accusing him of giving environmentally sensitive land to investors linked to Kushner.
Protestors have vowed to continue demonstrations until the government stop Kushner’s plans.
