Gold has suffered its worst single day value decline in 12 years after the precious metal’s price had been soaring in recent weeks, hitting record highs day after day.
However, jitters in the market overnight saw prices slump by as much as 6.3 per cent, settling at just over USD$4,000 an ounce.
