According to Variety, the program will be transformed into a vertical format, so that it can be viewed on a phone.
Fremantle, the production company that brought Neighbours to life, has partnered with the vertical TV platform RoseBerry to change more than 9,000 episodes to suit vertical viewing using AI.
The new format will make episodes shorter and will focus on specific characters instead of multiple at a time, with Margot Robbie’s character Donna Freedman set to be the first in the new series. [TV Tonight]
The launch date for the vertical Neighbours episodes is yet to be announced.
