Australia’s Communications Minister has revealed she hasn’t raised the Optus 000 debacle with her Singaporean counterparts at the UN, but insists she does want answers from the telco’s Singapore-based parent company.
Singtel’s CEO apologised for the failure yesterday after the outage affected emergency calls in South Australia, Western Australia, the Northern Territory, and New South Wales.
Optus has also been hit with a $100 million fine over its sales conduct with customers and is being warned more penalties are on the way because of the 000 debacle.
