The Bjorn Baker trained Overpass has been locked in for his third tilt at the Everest, with Newgate confirming the sprinter is their runner for this year’s $20 million race.
Newgate’s Henry Field says the decision was based on his track record of being a “tough and consistent” sprinter.
“He’s unbelievable first up … every preparation he’s basically either won or run second in big races against good horses,” Mr Field said.
