Former New South Wales police minister David Elliott criticises the Commonwealth for engaging in some “tricky footwork” regarding the return of ISIS brides to Australia, accusing the government of significantly “misleading the community”.
“This problem did not sneak up on us,” Mr Elliott told Sky News host Danica De Giorgio.
“I think we’ve seen some very, very tricky footwork from the Commonwealth over the course of the last week as they realise that they’ve been misleading the community.
“I’m horrified.”
