Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi has condemned a bombing that targeted a branch of one of Iran’s oldest banks, accusing attackers of striking national infrastructure. Araghchi said the bank branch was full of employees when the blast occurred and described the attack as a deliberate assault on Iran’s economic institutions.
The foreign minister warned that Iran’s armed forces would respond, vowing retribution against those responsible for the strike. Iranian officials have repeatedly accused the United States and Israel of targeting civilian and infrastructure sites during the ongoing war.
