US-Iran war reaches six-month mark with focus shifting to Strait of Hormuz

It marks six months since the start of the US war with Iran, with no sign of a resolution to the conflict.

At the time, US President Donald Trump and other US officials claimed the conflict would only last a few weeks.

Half a year later, attention has shifted from Iran’s nuclear and military installations on land to the Strait of Hormuz.

Around 20 per cent of the world’s oil passes through the shipping lane which Tehran has weaponised during negotiations.
