While Queen Elizabeth, Princess Diana, and Charlotte’s mother the Princess of Wales all wore tiaras for the first time in public on their respective wedding days, Queen Elizabeth’s sister Princess Margaret and Queen Elizabeth’s daughter Princess Anne donned their first tiaras before they married.

Margaret made her tiara debut when she was 18 for one of Queen Juliana of the Netherlands’ inauguration events in 1948, and Anne wore her first tiara when she was 17 during the State Opening of Parliament in 1967.

Since it’s likely that Princess Margaret and Princess Anne wore their respective tiaras before their wedding days because they were already working members of the royal family, if the 10-year-old Charlotte’s does end up taking on a working royal role, she may also make her tiara debut as a teenager.
