Thailand’s Siam Amazing Park, a popular amusement park on the outskirts of Bangkok, now lies deserted after intense rain caused severe flooding several weeks ago.

The Guardian’s Oliver Holmes reports from inside the park, where floodwaters have damaged motors beneath rides, including rollercoasters, while waterslides now empty into flooded pools as pumps work to drain the water.
The flooding overwhelmed Bangkok’s canal drainage system, which normally helps manage the heavy rains that hit the capital each year.
