The properties—which were converted from old stables and are rented out through the Crown Estate—sit in close proximity to the Wales family’s new eight-bedroom home.
An insider source told the Daily Mail that the residents “were told to move out. I guess they were given somewhere else, but they were told they had to move.”
“They were not expecting it. Those houses are very close to the lodge, so they’re not going to want any Tom, Dick or Harry living in those houses if there are going to be royals there.”
The royals have reportedly already installed additional privacy measures, including fresh shrubbery and black mesh privacy screens.
Although the tenants that live near Forest Lodge were asked to leave, it’s suspected that they will be offered similar or better housing within Windsor Great Park.
