Think again dementia campaign launches | 7NEWS

Dementia Australia launches the ‘Think Again’ campaign to reduce stigma around dementia and promote brain health awareness. The Lancet Commission shows that tackling 14 modifiable risk factors can reduce or delay up to 45% of dementia cases worldwide through lifestyle changes including weight management, limiting alcohol, quitting smoking, protecting vision and hearing, avoiding head injuries, and staying socially and cognitively active. With over 1.7 million carers supporting loved ones with dementia and an estimated one million Australians expected to develop the condition over the next four decades, the campaign emphasises that dementia is not a normal part of ageing and can affect anyone.
