Royal expert Roya Nikkhah said on her podcast that “Anne’s policy is: ‘I will do things for my birthdays that have a zero, but I won’t do things for my birthdays that have a five’.”
Nikkhah even claimed that the Princess Royal has been cancelling meetings in the lead up to her birthday to avoid any discussions of potential celebrations.
Anne’s last major birthday celebration had to be cancelled due to the pandemic in 2020, but the royal still marked the occasion with a private sailing trip with her husband.
